Subject: Important Information from Licking County Health Department
Dear Food and Cottage Industry Vendors:
We are just 3 days away from the Granville Art Affair & Rotary Wine Festival! I just received a call from Greg Chumney, Licking County Health Dept. Inspector. He was checking-in with me regarding the purchase of temporary food permits/licenses required for this weekend's event. Per the application it is YOUR responsibility to secure all required Food Vendor Permits/Licenses prior to the show opening date of Friday, June 13, 2014. To date, he has received one application so he is a little concerned.
If you have a mobile license or qualify as a cottage food vendor, you are most likely exempt from purchasing a temporary (5-day) permit. If not, I suggest you call Greg ASAP to acquire the necessary license for the event this weekend. You can reach Greg at (740)349-6493 (office) or (740)584-0507 (mobile).
Although I did acquire a Farmer's Market Registration for the event on behalf of the cottage food vendors participating, keep in mind there may also be an inspector from the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture on site checking to make sure you actually do qualify.
If you have any questions, please contact me or Greg. See you Friday!
